Since its inception as a mail delivery service in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1937, US Airways has renamed itself several times and grown strongly: from All American Aviation to Allegheny Airlines, to USAir, after the purchase of Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) and Piedmont, and finally to US Airways in 1997. By early 2010, the airline had become one of the largest airlines with over 340 jets and more than 270 regional aircraft operating under the US Airways Express brand and was also the world's largest operator of Airbus aircraft. In 2013, US Airways merged with American Airlines, making it one of several airlines that are part of the legacy of today's American Airlines.

NG’s 757 mould is superb and there’s many airlines to choose from. The livery on this one looks great and has retro appeal. They come well presented in a premium box with stand and detachable landing gear. While QC is usually excellent, on this occasion the front landing gear was a little crooked and the stand was an extremely tight fit to the point where part of it stayed in the model when removed- managed to adjust both parts though and it doesn’t detract from what is a beautiful aircraft 🤩
