N502DN, one of currently 28 A350s, was given the traditional name "Spirit of Delta" in a small ceremony. The original "Spirit of Delta" was the airline's first Boeing 767-200, funded by donations from Delta employees in 1982. With the new "Spirit", Delta recognizes the lasting commitment of its employees worldwide, especially during the turbulences caused by the Covid pandemic.
