Having flown on the actual aircraft as crew it was a good aircraft- the model replicates the livery well and very pleased with the model and the depth of detail Down to the wheels. I wish they would do the rest of the Caledonian L1011 fleet ( never saw a batman livery in any Caledonian aircraft having worked for them the entire time it was in existence)

I have always liked this livery and prefer the once BA owned Caledonian Airways livery over the Bcal British Caledonian livery and it is such a shame this airline for tourism does not exist anymore! It was BA in different clothing basically for holidays in the 1990's! This in real life was an ex BA machine that adorn British Airtours livery for most of its working life before the new Caledonain livery! I actually flew on this plane a few times and all the Tristars that Caledonian had in its fleet over time and had the pleasure of the massive width this plane gave for tourism over B767's and B757's for example! The Tristar was for a period the 2nd biggest commercial plane to the B747 aka Jumbo! 1970'a/80's period! Shame i never did get the chance to fly on the Caledonian odd one B747 they had for a year or 2 before being sold off ,as it looked great in Caledonian colours! Now to the Model: Well as you expect from NG ,Top Marks as usual and their Tristars make Aeroclassics look a joke ,a sorry state indeed! Been looking forward to this model as it was suppose to be released in Feb time but as of Covid-19,everything was delayed! It was worth the wait! I only hope now NG do the Caledonian A320 Batman tail they had once in their fleet as i missed out on that model and that would have looked good on a Tristar with Caledonian livery too! Good details,great mould ,great livery! Nothing more i can add really! Just get it before they sell out as limited numbers i guess on this particular Tristar! Also NG did B757''s in Caledonian livery! I nearly ,very nearly ,bought one but they are not an aircraft i like particularly and they are expensive for such a small model (NG are) so i backed off but i will say they came in metal tin's as i suspect they were done by HYJL that i think is part of NG etc. Overall very pleased with it.A great addition to the fleet of models.Think thats my last Tristar for now unless they do a retro Gulf Air!!
