Our latest Aviationtag edition comes from the Airbus A310-300, which was the last Airbus A310 to fly in scheduled service with a European airline under the registration CS-TGV!
This aircraft began its journey in 1992 when it was delivered to Air Afrique with the MSN 651 and under the registration TU-TAD. In 2000, it moved to SATA Airlines, the predecessor of Azores Airlines, and was named "S. Miguel" after the enchanting Azores island of São Miguel.
After joining the Azores Airlines fleet in 2016, the Airbus A310 continued its loyal service until it made its last flight on October 15, 2018. This farewell flight, during which the aircraft flew low over Ponta Delgada Airport, marked the end of an era in European aviation.
In 2023, we discovered this special aircraft in the Mojave Desert and secured the most beautiful parts of the CS-TGV to upcycle into our latest Aviationtag edition.
